Beware of rogue painting contractors

rogue painting contractors

This is the season when homeowners hire all types of trades to work on their property. Many trades work different, here is a tips on what not to do with painting contractors.

Never, ever give any money upfront. Most reputable companies never ask you for any sort of deposit. Painting contractors buy paint on credit and they have funds to back-up costs to complete a project. What they could ask is for draws if a project is big (complexes or buildings). If this is the case, some companies would bill bi-weekly or once a month for areas completed.

If you want to make sure your house gets completely painted and do not want to be scammed, do not pay upfront until you are satisfied with the work.
