Using the right paint

November 19th, 2012

Lately I have been noticing water marks and even mold in clients’ bathrooms. In some of these homes there is no choice but to rip out the drywall and replace it. This can add up and hit you hard in the pocket. One way to prevent this, is to make sure the painting contractor uses a moisture resistant paint. Some contractors will try to get away with it because it costs a few dollars more than your typical interior latex paint. Next time you have somebody painting your bathroom, make sure the can says “Kitchen and bath” or moisture resistant paint.
